Privacy Policy

Morning Paiper is a private daily paper. It uses only your account, edition settings, and any sources you choose to connect.

Data used. Morning Paiper processes your email (for sign-in and your account), your edition settings (sections, followed topics, depth), public news headlines, and any facts you explicitly approve into your saved details.

Article and support requests. When you submit the Article Desk or data and support form, Morning Paiper stores your email, request type, topic or message, source page, and submission time. It also creates an anonymous identifier from your internet address to help prevent abuse; the address itself is not stored with the request. We use this information only to review and respond. Submitting a request does not add you to marketing, generate or publish an article, delete data, or create a charge. We keep requests only as long as needed to resolve and document them, and you can ask us to delete yours through the same form.

Share-loop measurement. When a tracked public sample link is opened, Morning Paiper uses a keyed one-way identifier made from Netlify’s trusted network address to deduplicate repeat opens, exclude the sharer’s own opens, and connect that visit to a completed account signup. The address and browser user agent are not stored in this measurement ledger, and no browser fingerprint is created. Signed-in paper views and explicit tracked-share actions are recorded with a separate keyed account identifier so first-paper and seven-day return rates can be counted. Bot, preview, verifier, fixture, and untrusted-header traffic is excluded. Measurement rows expire after 90 days.

Connected sources. When Morning Paiper offers a source connection and you choose to enable it, your signed-in paper shows what the connection can read. Connections start read-only: Morning Paiper cannot send email, create or edit calendar events, or edit, share, or move files through a read-only connection. The public product does not retain message bodies, event descriptions, or file contents; it processes only the details needed for a count or short preview. If your paper does not show a source as connected, that source contributes no data.

Claude and ChatGPT connector. Connecting your own AI is optional. Morning Paiper creates a private, revocable read-only link that exposes the paper context described in the connector before you copy it. When you add that link to Claude, ChatGPT, or another compatible provider, content requested through the connector is sent to that provider and handled under your account, plan, privacy settings, and that provider's terms. Morning Paiper does not share another person's AI account, store your provider password, or give the provider permission to post, send, spend, or change your paper.

Encryption. Connected-account access tokens are encrypted at rest. Disconnecting or deleting a source removes its stored access token immediately.

Data not collected from visitors. The public site does not collect payment cards, passwords, API keys, or the contents of your mailbox, calendar, or files from public visitors.

Generated summaries. Summaries and drafts can be wrong. Check important information and its sources before acting on it or publishing it.

Community articles. Published Article Desk pieces are public by design: they have shareable links and can appear in community feeds. Every published piece is reviewed first; submitting a request never publishes it automatically. Include only the topic and angle in a request, never private account details.

Shared learning - optional and off by default. If shared learning becomes available, it will use only combined reading signals such as topics followed, article reactions, and reading patterns. It will not use message contents, saved details, or information that identifies you. It will stay off unless you turn it on. Turning it off will stop future sharing, and no information will be combined until enough readers have chosen to participate that one person cannot be singled out.

Retention and deletion. You can disconnect or delete any available source from the Sources tab and revoke your AI connector from Edition settings. See Data Deletion for account, connector, or public-request deletion requests.

Contact. Use the private data and support request form for privacy, deletion, billing, or account questions.

Questions? Use the data and support form before creating a paper. You can also read the sample without signing in.
